Daily Discovery: NAPALMA ‘Mbëguel’ feat: Abass Ndiaye

NAPALMA collaboration with Senegalese singer Abass Ndiaye on ‘Mbëguel’, meaning ‘Love’ in Wolof, beautifully blends Zimbabwean mbira with electronic beats and synths, creating a transcendent sound. The scenic video was filmed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and on several Mozambican beaches, including Ponta D’oro, White Sands, Pigs Island, Barra, and Tofo.

The Mbëguel EP includes the original and an instrumental mix, and two remixes by Infrared from Paris and Pedra Branca from São Paulo. It boasts music production by Luciano Sallun, didgeridoo by Alani Marcel, and artwork by Tahian Bhering.
