Lewisland, an Afro-funk musical project led by Nigerian-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist Lewis Enwegbara, has released the new single “Checkmate” on all digital platforms.

This 7-piece band, known for its blend of analog and digital sounds, delivers electrifying live performances. The frontman, Lewis, engages audiences with funky grooves and crowd work. Born in Lagos, raised in Italy, and now in London, Lewis is a self-taught musician, rapper, and producer on a soulful mission.

“Checkmate,” the second single from the recently released album GOLD DIGGER, addresses themes of corruption, greed, and hope with infectious Afro grooves.
