K Sea Ya (Kecia Felix Donnelly), a multifaceted singer, songwriter, performer, and educator currently living between Brazil and California, unveils her newest single, “Dom da Magia,” released on the 10th of February. Drawing on her Brazilian roots alongside folk, tropical, and bossa nova influences, the track explores the transformative power of words and prompts reflection on the profound impact of language.

Musically, “Dom da Magia” shines with a lively blend of cavaquinho and cuíca that lends an inviting, sensuous rhythm. A clarinet thread adds sophistication, subtly anchoring the song’s samba undertones. K Sea Ya’s vocals, firm yet delicate, bring warmth to the composition, while experimentalist percussionist, composer and arranger Caíto Marcondes’s production layers MPB and samba-choro, creating a rich, uplifting soundscape. Since 2023, K Sea Ya has been active in creating music and directing her own audiovisual projects. With three singles already released, she is currently in pre-production for her debut album, Cantos para Transições.
