Daily Discovery: Je Je – Edsik feat Bryte

French producer Edsik partners with Ghanaian rapper Bryte on “JE JE”, released through Alouette Street Records. The track connects Roubaix, London, and Accra, drawing on afrobeats, baile funk, electro, and hip-hop to build a cross-continental collaboration anchored in heavy bass and rapid vocal flow.

Edsik, founder of the Roubaix-based label, recorded and produced the instrumental framework between France and the UK, while Bryte, long active in London’s global club circuits, delivers a sharp, percussive delivery that cuts across the beat. The song was finalised with mixing and mastering at Audioblend Studio, placing it firmly in the Afro-bass continuum that links West African rhythmic ideas with European electronic production.

The accompanying video, directed by Antoine Smith in Roubaix and London, underscores the project’s grounding in place and dance community. Visuals of city streets frame a track designed for international circulation, linking dancers and listeners across continents.

“JE JE” serves as a first step towards Edsik’s planned six-track EP, the result of collaborations forged through travels between Brazil, the UK, and West Africa.
