Gregorio Uribe‘s cover of “Ay Leonardo” is a joyful tribute to fatherhood. This track, featuring the legendary accordionist Carmelo Torres and his ensemble Cumbia Sabanera, blends traditional Colombian cumbia with contemporary sounds. Uribe, a Bogotá-born singer and accordionist, graduated from Berklee College of Music and has performed at venues like Carnegie Hall. He has collaborated with artists such as Rubén Blades and Carlos Vives. Carmelo Torres, a key figure in Colombian Cumbia, brings his authentic rural accordion style to the track, continuing the legacy of his mentor, Andrés Landero.
