Daily Discovery: Eparapo – My Beautiful City (Radio Edit) [feat. Afla Sackey]

Wah Wah 45s recently released ‘My Beautiful City”, the new single by afrobeat supergroup Eparapo. Born amidst the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, their music embodies hope, resilience, and unity.

“Eparapo”, which means “join forces” in Yoruba, pays tribute to afrobeat legends Tony Allen and Fela Kuti, inspiring innovation while staying true to the genre. Led by bassist Suman Joshi, the group’s unique style blends afrobeat and highlife in the upcoming album Take To The Streets (out in early August).

“My Beautiful City” is their latest single, reflecting on the impact of rising living costs and capitalist greed. With a lineup of exceptional musicians, and featuring Ghanaian-born percussion master Afla Sackey, Eparapo’s music is a powerful call to action, aiming to inspire change and togetherness.
