El Balcón, a  Latin group formed in 2018 in Montreal, blends son jarocho from Veracruz with Eastern European influences. Their new single, “Enredada,” explores self-discovery through culture, merging styles like son jarocho, rumba flamenca, samba, Balkan, and Gnawa music.

Composed in Xalapa and recorded in Quebec, “Enredada” is out today, 9th August. The single is part of the band’s debut album, El Errante, set for release in spring 2025, and encapsulates the intertwined cultural identities that shape El Balcón’s sound.
