Ekiti Sound‘s newest release, “Chairman,” is the lead single off his upcoming album, Drum Money, which will be available on June 23 via Crammed Disc. The track is a fusion of Afro-pop, hip-hop, and Afro-electro, and features Aunty Rayzor, a well-known Nigerian hip-hop singer.

“Chairman” is a tribute to the juju music of Ekiti Sound’s childhood while incorporating modern beats and synths. The song explores the theme of impostor syndrome, and its music video was shot at the iconic Elephant House in Lagos.

Ekiti Sound is a singer/songwriter, producer and sound engineer inspired by Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, and King Sunny Ade, who blends multiple genres to create his unique sound sung in pidgin English or Yoruba.
