“Ashufak Shay” is the lead single from the collaborative album Jarak Qaribak by Israeli singer/songwriter and producer Dudu Tassa (Dudu Tassa and the Kuwaitis) and British musician and composer Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead/The Smile).

The song features Lebanese vocalist Rashid al-Najjar and is a blend of traditional Middle Eastern songwriting with experimental guitar music. The lyrics are sung in Arabic, and the instrumentation includes drum machines and guitars, resulting in a fusion of classic and modern sounds.

The song showcases the cross-border collaboration that is the focus of the entire album, bringing together musicians and vocalists from throughout the Middle East. Jarak Qaribak is set to be released on June 9, via World Circuit Records.
