The Cole Williams Band has released the official video for “We Need A Song,” the lead single from their Deluxe Edition of Give Power to the People. The song, inspired by and featuring a speech from American civil rights activist Curtis Muhammad, supports a broader grassroots movement in New Orleans, where activists, led by Cole Williams, are refurbishing city-owned properties to provide housing for the homeless. The initiative seeks assistance from local government and skilled volunteers.

Cole Williams is a significant figure in social justice. She combines her music career with activism. Her work, spanning various music styles and social causes, also includes leading the Greater New Orleans Citizens Relief Team. Williams uses her platform to advocate for the homeless and to inspire community involvement through her music and public engagements.

The band’s signature “Freedom Music” melds soul, R&B, blues, Jamaican reggae, West African afrobeat, and funk.
