Idalia Valles, a LatinX actor, singer, and director based in Los Angeles, released her new single “Hilos” on the 7th of June under Boi Huerca. Blending cumbia, electro-pop, and tropical sounds, the track dives deeper into Valles’ music production and DJing, a creative expansion she embraced during the recent actors’ strike. Known for her role as Isabela Vargas in “Queen of the South,” Valles has been honing her musical talents.
The single was produced by Haider Ali Mir, a composer influenced by his Mexican, Pakistani, and American heritage. Known for his film scores and musical arrangements, Ali has garnered acclaim for his work, including a Best Musical Score award at the 2021 Next Generation Indie Film Awards for the film “For Rosa.”
