On Wednesday 13 May, Dub Me Always is pleased to present a night of deep roots reggae and conscious new roots when DJ General Lee and MC Dirty Harry of Sir Marcus sound system joins the night’s regular host DJ David Katz on the decks, plus at 8pm sharp, an album launch for Marcus Upbeat’s Life Songs, co-produced by Gaudi!

Sir Marcus formed in west London in 1976 and is still going strong today as a 100% original vinyl sound system. DJ General Lee is a pedigree selector, renowned for his skills on the turntable and for his superb collection of unknown dub plates, though he actually began as a mic man on the sound, taking on the selector role in the late 1980s. The sound has travelled across England and DJ General Lee has hosted radio shows on stations such as Cruise FM, Juice FM, Hot 96 and Majestic Radio. With General Lee at the helm, you are guaranteed to be exposed to one-off mixes you’ve never heard before, as well as beloved roots them.

What will DJ General Lee pull out of the bag on the night? There’s only one way to find out! Expect roots reggae galore and plenty of surprises. Come early for the album launch, and stay late!
