Frente Cumbiero‘s latest single, “El Tereminé,” marks their return after a four-year hiatus. Composed and produced by the band’s leader, Mario Galeano, the track was recorded at Oídos Contentos studio in Buenos Aires. It features Argentine musician Manuel Schaller on the theremin, adding an atmospheric, cinematic layer to the band’s signature fusion of traditional cumbia with modern elements like dub and electronic sounds.
“El Tereminé” is the first glimpse of their upcoming album, showcasing Frente Cumbiero’s innovative “Tropicanibal” style, which continues to push the boundaries of cumbia while staying true to its roots. This release also coincides with the start of their U.S. tour
