Introducing David Celia from the outskirts of Toronto, Canada. He is an innovative lyricist/
singer-songwriter and astonishing guitar player, known for his spontaneously driven live
performances. He tours frequently across North America and Europe including several performances in Switzerland (Blue Balls Festival 2x, Lucerne), Germany (Desertfest 2x, Berlin + supporting Kiefer Sutherland 2x), France (Festival le Rock dans touts ses États, Évreux), England (Glastonbury Festival 4x) and many more..He is quoted as “One of Toronto’s best guitar players” by CBC Radio. David’s music has consistently appeared on the CBC, BBC and WNYC in New York. Even the legendary Gordon Lightfoot is a fan. David has performed live on BBC2’s highly regarded Bob Harris national radio show three times.

In Canada, he’s played at Hillside Festival, Ottawa’s Tulip Festival, Mariposa Festival and many more. David’s reputation as a guitarist has led him to play with many local Canadian artists in their bands, including legendary Alt-Country/folk singers Ian & Sylvia Tyson and acts diverse as Icelandic alt/pop star Emiliana Torrini. He even had a stint as the guitarist in Andy Kim’s band (The Archies) who were famous for the hit song “Sugar Sugar”. His most recent releases are as Marla & David Celia with their debut album
“Daydreamers”(2018) and sophomore “Indistinct Chatter“(2021), both self-produced and mixed by audio engineer L Stu Young who has worked with Prince and Guns and Roses. They’ve recently joined actor/musician Kiefer Sutherland as the support act for the second time in Germany, at Kiefer’s request. Currently in 2023, David is preparing for his next 6-week tour of Europe/UK with his new Canadian backing band, Zuffalo. Many of the songs are sung in 3-part harmony with Mikey Vukovich and Kimberly Manning.
